'Physical Altercation' Prompts Evacuation At PA Polling Place: Officials

A voting site in the Keystone State was evacuated after being stormed by so-called, "disruptors," officials confirmed to the press early Wednesday morning, Nov. 6.

Multiple people stormed into the Centre County election office in Bellefonte just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, while voting was going on, according to officials.

After an alleged fight, the building was evacuated by local police.

Pennsylvania Department of State Secretary Al Schmidt said the following to the press at a 1 a.m. update on Wednesday, Nov. 6:

"I recall an issue at a polling location where there was an alleged physical altercation that law enforcement and our county partners addressed."

He would not confirm any arrests.
